ND1981: Peony was born as the last illegitimate child of the Karl V, Emperor of Malkuth. He was the half brother to two elder brothers and one elder sister and the son of the lowest ranking concubine of the his father's. Thus out of all the Emperor's children he was the least likely in both status and birth-order to inherit the imperial throne; however, the Closed Score foretold that he would be the only one to survive to live to be Emperor.
ND1992: He was sent to live confined in secrecy to a manor in the snow town Keterburg away from the political turmoil. Shortly after he moved there, two children by the names of Jade and Saphir planned to sneak into the manor. Saphir was used as bait to draw away the guards and Jade slips inside the manor and meets the Prince. From there on out, Peony snuck out on his own to join and play with them. He was also fortunate enough to find another friend in Jade's younger sister Nephry and become one of the students of Professor Gelda Nebilim. The Professor, once an Oracle Knight in the Order of Lorelei, knew just who he was but decided that it would be better to teach the young prince to learn to understand his people so she kept his escapes a secret from his bodyguards back at the manor.
ND1994: Jade tries to use the Seventh Fonon but loses control and burns down Professor Nebilim's home and kills her as a result. Jade tries to bring her back and creates a defective replica which runs away before he can dispose of her. Later he is adopted by the Curtiss family.
ND1995: Jade is assigned to the Imperial Research Institute on Fontech and Fonic Artes back at the capital.
ND1996: Saphir follows Jade into the Military Academy and Peony and Nephry are left only to grow closer to each other and fall in love.
ND2001: Peony is nineteen or twenty now, and he returns home to check up on Jade who ignores his letters and the rumors going around on about his friend to only find that they are true-- Jade is trying to revive their late Professor. He reports back to Nephry.
ND2003: Peony is called back home to start his studies as the Crown Prince. All his siblings have passed away for one reason or another and he is the only one remaining, as it was predicted. He and Nephry have a heartfelt goodbye and promise to keep in touch by letter. Later in the year, Jade is gravely injured in one of his revival experiments and Peony punches him to make him realize that he needs to let the Professor rest and consider his friends' feelings on how his death would affect them.
ND2004: Jade stops his experiments for good and bans the use of fomicry with Peony's help in proposing the matter to the Emperor. Saphir disappears to continue the experiments outside of Malkuth with a grudge towards Peony for stealing away Jade.
ND2010: The Score reads that Nephry will get married to another man and writes to Peony. Peony runs from home all the way back to Keterburg in the night with the idea of abandoning his country and running away with her. But she points out that he is too kind of a person abandon his people and they inevitably break up.
ND2014: Emperor Karl V passes away, and Peony succeeds to the throne as the new Emperor of Malkuth.
ND2018: Peony has Jade help Fon Master Ion--
